Starz CEO announced that the TV series of the franchise, named The Continental, might air next year following the fourth movie’s release.
The TV series will explore the origins of The Continental, hotel from the movies. Although they are closely connected, Ian McShane (Winston) already stated that he will not be in the series. We still do not know if Keanu Reeves will be there or not, but we might see a cameo at some point. We should note that there haven’t been any casting announcements, so there is no known cast member yet.
Starz President and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch told that the series will air after John Wick: Chapter 4 hits the theaters. The move is to prevent the movie from getting affected by the TV series. He also noted that he saw what the writers have and what they have in their hands is promising.
We know that John Wick: Chapter 4 will hit the theaters in May 2021. Therefore, we can expect the TV series to air somewhere between summer and fall 2021.
